A neighbor recently asked me what in the world was going on with President Trump, Iran, Israel, and the Epstein scandal. I usually preface a reply to such an inquiry with one question, “Do you really want to know?” Too often, many of us don’t want to know. We don’t want to rid ourselves of ideology, shallow understanding, and the sense that we are secure in rooting for “our team.” It’s safer that way. We know what we are supposed to think. Taking someone’s “team” away by explaining that there are no “good guys” to rally around can leave people crestfallen, even angry. With knowledge comes suffering.
But my neighbor was insistent and wanted to hear what I had to say. I explained that Trump was trapped in a spider’s web woven by international Zionism. Jeffery Epstein was in part a Zionist agent, as well as a free-lancing fixer who operated on a global scale. He was a charming psychopath, a Mephistopheles who could offer his interlocutors all they wanted: money laundering, tax shelters, arms trafficking, high level access, insider information, and all the illicit sex they wanted. It was an intoxicating brew they imbibed and then Epstein — and the Zionist network — had them. Zionism, I continued, is an international ideology because the Jewish Diaspora is international. It operates in the media, banking, business, government, academia, and entertainment. Its adherents are in high-level positions in the government bureaucracy. It wields tremendous political influence via groups like AIPAC. Among Americans and Westerners in general are sympathizers whom the Holocaust Industry has indoctrinated to believe they bear some responsibility for what happened to the Jews 80 years ago. Christian Zionists are among its most fanatical supporters. Their religion is an apocalyptic faith centered on Israel and the Jews. Mike Huckabee, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, seems to believe that his job is to serve Israel. America simply fulfills an eschatological role in the Christian Zionist vision. Tucker Carlson’s interview with GOP U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas divulged the evangelical Christian-Zionist obsession with Israel. These people honestly believe that America must “bless Israel” or risk the wrath of God.
An immigrant from a communist state, my neighbor shook his head affirmatively and said, “Oh, it’s like communism.” Yes, it is very much like international communism in significant ways. Jews not only played a high-profile role in communist revolutions in Russia and Europe but also served as Soviet spies who penetrated the U.S. government and the Manhattan Project. International communism’s agents and sympathizers infiltrated Western society in media, academia, and entertainment. It had its useful idiots among soft-headed leftists who shared communism’s fundamental assumptions. And high-level communist agents steered American foreign policy in directions favorable to the Soviet Union. World War II — the “Good War”— was in important ways a war fought to save the USSR by bringing the US into the fight. There was also a peculiar ethnic component to what was officially “international” communism. Fundamentally nationalist rebels in Asia, Africa, and Latin America adopted communist anti-colonial rhetoric, symbols, and ideology in forcing the European powers out of their countries.
My neighbor looked distressed, but said this made things a bit clearer to him. I urged him to educate himself on the subject and make up his own mind.
Playing Cassandra is depressing. But if America is ever to assert her sovereignty or salvage anything from the present day social, economic, and political train wreck, we have to break the hold that ideology — whether hard leftist, neoliberal, or neoconservative — has on our discourse, our politics, and our society. And with its vice grip on our political and economic system, as well as on our society, Zionist power is becoming ever more apparent to those with eyes to see. It must be broken. America is a real place, not an idea. Americans are a real people as much as any other people. America has particular interests that are not bound by the strictures of hidebound ideologies. We must oppose those who have colonized our country and taken charge of our thinking like a parasite that seizes control of an animal’s nervous system to command its actions.
The chest thumping of super patriots is depressing when it is not downright ridiculous. “America First” simply means playing superpower bully to them, making perpetual war for the sake of a perpetual peace that never arrives. Wrapped in the flag, as often as not an Israeli one as well as the Stars and Stripes, camo clad, waving their assault rifles around like a scepter of power, they play Rambo for the puppetmasters who make them dance like marionettes. If we really love our country, if we truly are jealous of our sovereignty, if we want to be masters in our own house, ideology has to be dispensed with in favor of concrete and tangible interests. And Americans have to stop shamefully playing Stepin Fetchit for the Zionists.
