The firing of Tucker Carlson by FOX News opens up enormous possibilities in American politics. In some way or some form, it points to a politics aimed at dethroning our ruling class, which is at once supremely confident in its supposed intellectual superiority and boundlessly ignorant of almost everything.
That class controls almost all politicians, almost all major media, and almost all educational structures. Yet it is a spent force, intellectually, producing no new ideas except crazy or evil ones and giving us, at the moment, two leading presidential candidates who are, frankly, far too old. America does not need another Konstantin Chernenko presidency.
Tucker Carlson understands this. He is uniquely positioned to bring millions more to that understanding as well.
