Two new reports offer new details about deported Salvadoran illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The news should further embarrass far-left Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen and those who follow him to El Salvador to secure Garcia’s release from the nation’s terrorist confinement center. But alas, that news likely won’t dampen their ardor for Garcia.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol detained Garcia, whom the Democrats claim was wrongly deported, and suspected him of human trafficking, the Tennessee Star disclosed. President Joe Biden’s FBI ordered him released. Garcia’s vehicle was packed with seven passengers.

As well, Fox News obtained more details about his domestic violence case. The handwritten note from his wife, Jennifer Vasquez, depicts Garcia as a brutal wife beater.

That’s bad optics for Van Hollen and the Democrats, but they won’t likely care. Illegal aliens are the “people we care about most,” as one top Democrat said.

  • A car packed with that many passengers driving erratically? That’s not exactly subtle. But then to hear that the FBI supposedly requested this guy’s release after ICE already flagged him? That raises a lot of questions.

It feels like there’s this constant tug-of-war between different agencies, and it’s regular people who end up caught in the middle. If someone’s here illegally and there are legitimate safety or trafficking concerns, why wouldn’t you at least keep him in custody until things are fully sorted out? Releasing him so quickly makes it seem like either there’s something bigger going on behind the scenes, or the system’s just broken.

Also, if the allegations about potential trafficking are even half true, why isn’t this a bigger story? People should know what’s happening in their own backyards. I’m all for compassion in immigration policies, but there’s a difference between helping people and ignoring serious red flags.
